Founded in 1916, the American Tennis Association (ATA) is the oldest African American sports organization in the U.S. Created to provide Black tennis players a national platform to compete, the ATA has spent over a century championing diversity, inclusion, and opportunity—all rooted in our enduring motto: Sportsmanship, Unity, and Goodwill.
In 2026, we’ll honor this legacy with the 110th ATA National Tournament, a premier celebration of tennis, culture, and community.
We’re calling on passionate, dedicated volunteers to help bring this historic event to life. Whether you're a tennis fan, a community advocate, or simply looking to give back, there’s a place for you on our team.
